That is exactly what is wrong with America's attitude toward law enforcement.

We have to have laws. They have to be enforced.

Your response is typical of many teenagers (and adults). No consequences. No rules.

The the problem is not a "police state", the problem lies in your relationship with those in authority. Maybe thats where to get help.

Private property/trespassing does not mean "police state".
