I find it kind of hard to believe the bust of the whole group was decided on only that night. What did the PD plan on doing anyhow in the event that they found none of the dreaded drag racing that they were all wound up to SWAT? Just pass out a few tickets and go home? Fat chance.

..pro-dope, pro-porn, anti-cop--where's the conservatism? The plastic grimace and glazed-over eyes are there, but the soul is dead....Kevin, you need to take a month's break from FR. Your online persona has turned from a previous breezy charm mixed with intelligent insights and an often deft wit, to this stuff, where you're roaming the threads and paying out nastily on people, like a toxic avenger. I've seen it before, experienced it personally and know there's only one remedy. Take a break, go sniff the daisies, and come back to FR refreshed. All the best, Byron.

but do you think enormous unwanted crowds of unsupervised kids hanging out at a KMart parking lot is an example of Liberty? An ounce of crowd control is worth a ton of bust.

Kickbacks to cops by wrecker outfits aren't unknown to have happened in the past.
Has anyone brought up the possibility?
I asked this question on another thread.I always hear"follow the money".
Just a thought.

The City of Houston's juvenile curfew ordinance prohibits minors (17 and younger) from being out without reason from midnight to 6 a.m. on ANY day of the week. Unconstitutional. The ordinance also exempts from police harrassment those minors out with their parents or legal guardians. But he forgot to post that part.

You said:
You keep on referring to "the crowd of 425." By even the most pro-LEO statistics shown to date, those not there for any other purpose (actually shopping the all-night K Mart, eating at the Sonic) did not total up to this "425" figure you keep flashing around as though it were the Ten Commandments on Mount Sinai or the Sermon on the Mount. You only succeed in making yourself look 425% ridiculous.
The original article to this thread says:
Scores of Houston police officers swarmed onto the Kmart parking lot in the 8400 block of Westheimer about 12:30 a.m. Sunday and arrested about 425 people for criminal trespassing, a misdemeanor.
This is from the original article. Four Hundred and twenty-five. That's where I got the number from.
Hmmm?

Where I'm coming from is this: Cops don't have the right to round up and arrest people inside a restaurant. Please read the whole thread before posting to it. It's already been pointed out to me, quite rudely, in fact, that there is no inside eating area to a Sonic.
Thanks.
To: Henrietta
I agree that 425 people were not shopping at Kmart. I agree that 425 people were not eating at the Sonic drive in.
Sure is a lot of people, though. Where has the party moved to for this evening? Let's all go. A party of even 300 people would be one hell of a party!

An ounce of crowd control is worth a ton of bust. Well said. Spread the word.

Well, when your arguements fail, attack your opposition personally. It might work...

I bet there won't be 425 "people" there in the K-Mart parking lot next Sunday at 12:30am

No, there will be 10,000 hot rodders like me in my 56 Chevy and 10,000 more biker friends on their Harleys and 10,000 jacked up trucks and 10,000 other freedom loving peaceful citizens telling the gestapo to go stuff themselves!

...when your arguements fail, attack your opposition personally...What 'attack'? That was friendly advice, and it worked for me when I was exhibiting the same signs as KC.

"Well, when your arguements fail, attack your opposition personally. It might work..."Bingo. It's been happening a lot in this thread.
