"President Bush did say that the CFR bill has unconstitutional provisions in it"

Then why didn't he show the courage of his convictions and not sign it. No, just pass it on to the supremes and HOPE they overturn it.

I did not ignore you, however, I still disagree with you relative to the bully pulpit. He should be taking on dass and gephardt with a frontal attack. He's trying to please them when he should be making the public aware that they are obstructionists.

Reading your replies and the replies of all the people who agree with is deja vu, i,e,; clinton's people defending the indefensible.

You did not address the obscene spending spree, so you must agree with it. Doesn't a 190 Billion farm bill for large farmers bother you? Does it matter that under this bill, Scottie Pippen who made $19,000, 000 in the NBA gets 100,000+from this bill. Does that bother you?

Gotta go to work. Bye

...he has spoken on a variety of issues including judges, military funding, excessive lawsuits, and permanent tax cuts almost every day.

Actions speak louder than words and what Presidente Bush has signed into law speaks more volumes than any speeches. We don't need more laws, we need enforcement of the ones we have.

And regardless of what Bush says, he is not protecting the borders of the USA. That's a job required by law, and he's not doing it.

No, it doesn't bother me. Do I wish that farmers could succeed without subsidies? Sure. But the "Freedom to Farm Act" pushed by my Senator, Lugar, lasted only one session before Congress started piling supplementals on, destroying the purpose of the bill.

Dan Quayle was on Fox a few weeks ago and told Sean Hannity that EVERY president signed a farm bill, including Reagan. So although I wish we could do things differently, it doesn't get me in a dither.

As far as the use of the bully pulpit, I see NOW what the problem is. It isn't that President Bush hasn't been speaking, it is that you don't like his style. Although he has pointed out the obstructionism in a polite yet pointed way, you apparently wish him to start calling names and making a big stink, NONE OF WHICH WILL WORK. He is making his point without name-calling, which has always been his style. I am sorry you don't like it, but that is the truth.

So, feel free to lump me in with Dan Quayle and David Horowitz, both of whom support the President. Not everything the President does is 100% supported by me, but I do support the President, who has to deal with a slim margin in the House and a democrat Senate.

By the way, the farm subsidies are based on the acreage, rather than the income of the owner. Sorry if Pippen gets a subsidy, but that is the way it works. Speak to the Agriculture Committee heads in the House and Senate if you want the legislation written differently.

I agree. I beliebe Bush is conservative and doing a great job. He seems to have an uncanny ability to do the right thing politically. I believe we will have Congress in 03. If we don't then it will not be Bush's fault.

Bye. Don't let the door hit you on the butt on your way to that "powerful" and "conservative" Libertarian (pro abort) party or the "powerful" and "conservative" (pro-abort) Reform Party. Barring a total catastrophe, Bush will be elected by a substantial electoral majority.

God help us all if you're right. By then, Bush will have signed enough of the Democrats' bills into law that we'll never be able to recover.
