Second she thought could profit from her ImClone shares which altogether are less than three-quarters of a million dollars, to her I call that pocket money. She got too greedy here, she made a couple bucks from her ImClone shares but at the same time when her insider stock trading became known her OWN stock plummeted so she lost bigtime here.

I don't even think it's a question of greed. I think her friend Waksal tried to do her an illegal favor. She had a legal obligation to turn him in, but then she'd be known as a squealer, a derogative I've seen many times her on FR. She's a loser either way.

I think the real reason Martha Stewart is in trouble with the law is not so much that she gained an advantage in sekking her shaes on the advice of her broker, but that she lied to the feds when she was asked about it. She could have claimed ignorance about the propriety of selling before the news that the drug was rejected for testing, but lying about what happened can't be explained away.
