My feet are like wings, dear lady. The only thing I'd like to add before I do is some more flesh to the "Internet Activism" section. I had to leave during a good portion of that, and would appreciate any other folk's notes during that portion of Saturday's proceedings to add to the record.
Strela, the only thing I've got in my notes on this (this was the Chuck Muth morning lecture, right?) is this (and I've posted some of this previously):
T = technolgy
A = audience
M = message
A = action (change public officials)
Don't use acronyms except FBI, CIA, etc. Keep it simple and straightforward.
Bias in the media isn't what they write, it's what they write about.
The best candidate does not win. The best campaign wins.
Do not send emails to Congress (they block them).
The best way to influence Congress these days is phone calls.
On the local and state level, emails can and should be used as they still read them on that level.
And that's all I've got in my notes on that segment. I seemed to have warmed up to Chuck Muth over time and at that point I reached a level where my attention could not be divided and I hung on his every word. I can't tell you what those every words were now, though. Which is the reason for taking notes. Sign, when will I ever learn?
