Are you saying that only women should have a say in abortion? That men have no rights as fathers nor any ethical lights as human beings by which to evaluate the morality of such a decision?

No one is coming even remotely close to intimating that here that I can see, and neither did Mr. Muth (who is a wonderful man).

The point was that when given the opportunity to address an audience larger than that reading your posts, do what will be the most effectively received by the audience. A man on TV railing against abortion is instant eye-glaze. It will win the cause approximately zero converts. (example: Keyes. Brilliant oratory, but fodder for the choir.)

(Absolutely nothing is more gripping, and honest, than a repentant post-abortive woman, IMO.)

And sad.

Outside of the Judie Browns and Phyllis Schlafleys, however, we don't have a lot of women in leadership or highly visible roles who are pro-life and who can take on the she-wolves of the pro-abort movement.

In fact, the First Lady's of the past 3 (perhaps 5) administrations have been solidly pro-abort.

While I undertand the Packaging and Appeal factors, the fact is that until we grant men a say and encourage men to speak out, Abortion will continue to be perceived as a "Women's Issue" on which the men defer to the women.

What we need more than anything is men talking to men who -- on an individual basis, man to woman, father to child -- will actually step in and save lives by taking responsibility for those lives.
