In the newsletter "Sobran's"(8/02), conservative columnist Joe Sobran writes "For Fear of the Jews" which is based upon a speech he delivered last June to the "Institute of Historical Review."
The IHR Web site offers, among other treatises, "a revisionist perspective on a wide range of historical issues including the "Holocaust," Auschwitz, World War II, Hitler, the Palestine/Israel conflict, Zionism, and the "Jewish question."
The Jew obsessed IHR, founded by, among others, accused KGB agent Willis Carto, is at the vanguard of a movement that questions the legitimacy of the Nazi Holocaust against the Jews of Europe.

The IHR challenges the 6 million figure commonly associated with the number of Jews liquidated by the Nazis.
Whether the actual figure was 6 million, 5 million, or, more probably closer to 7 million really misses the central and irrefutable point that the Nazis planned and systematically carried out the genocide.
The fact that over 50 years later people passing themselves off as serious scholars would insist on challenging this historic event is both grotesque and sick.
Joe Sobran, an otherwise serious thinker, must have no idea how hateful and hurtful such disreputable revisionism is to Jews, nor does he probably care

Sobran correctly describes Zionist's use of the Holocaust to deny non-jewish Israeli citizen's of their equal rights, and to thwart criticism of their policies. Much the same way the NAACP uses the issue of "slavery" and charging it's critics with "racism" in order to gain comparative advantage in current political discourse.

I thought I had, both times, but here it is again: Joe Sobran is an antisemite and a Holocaust denier. Conservatives are not antisemites and Holocaust deniers. Anyone who agrees with Sobran's views in that area is an antisemite and Holocaust denier. That's why I suggested the poster slither off to join the rest of the antisemites and Holocaust deniers.

There's a lot of people who deny that 9 million Slavs were exterminated by the Germans as "untermenschen" and as part of the Genocides of Eastern Europe. Those deniers are not called "revisionists" or "Nazis". I'm willing to bet that you deny that those Slavs were exterminated, but rather "got in the way".

Ridiculus question, obviously I'm against all foreign aid on principle, but since this thread is specifically about Sobran and his alledged anti-semitism, I didn't think it necessary to expand the boundaries of my example. My mistake. I should have realized that the topic of this thread would draw the interest of the self appointed Free Republic Nazi hunters, and should have worded my replies so as not to offend their delicate (and paranoid) sensibilities.(/sarcasm)

Sobran's ALLEGED (the correct spelling of "alleged") antisemitism? BWAHAHAHAHA! He is an antisemite. How ridiculous (the correct spelling of "ridiculous")of you to try to claim that Sobran is not an antisemite. He has Jews on what's left of his brain.

So what's your take on the Holocaust? Do you agree with Sobran and his pals at the IHR? Did the Holocaust occur, and if so, how many were actually killed by the Nazis?
