Dear Heavenly Father,
I thank You for this day and for the many blessings You have given us in it. I thank You for friends and fellowship and for the camaraderie that we share as Christians. There is no closer connection than that of Your children on earth, and we thank You for such special relationships.

Father, I lift up President Bush this weekend and ask that You would guide him and renew his spirit this weekend. Help him to see Your ways even more clearly and to follow them. Help him to not turn to the right nor the left but to honor You in all things. And, help him to be an holy example for us all.

Go with us the rest of this evening and be with the services tomorrow in Your church at its various locations. Lord, speak through all of the Sunday School teachers, preachers, musicians, and fellow Christians the Word You would have us to hear. Let it be a good day tomorrow, Lord, and let Your praise continually be on our lips for the great things You have done. For it is in the precious and holy name of Christ Jesus my Lord and Savior that I pray these things, Amen.
