Well this has all been very fascinating for me too. I lived briefly in DC about 10 years ago - and this brings back memories of all the lunatics that used to fly into town every weekend. ;)

I'm sure that the overwhelming majority of blacks in America are just as SHOCKED as we Freepers are at this Anti-American shakedown.

At least from my experience, most are. Most feel (as I do) that any monies that could/would have been paid, would have been from private firms/individuals to individual slaves, none of whom are alive. This entire circle-jerk of an exercise is the consumation of the failures of John Conyers and Randall Robinson's firtile little minds.

Unfortunately, (and I'm sure you noticed) the loud-mouthed "Free Mumia" folks have taken the forefront of this thing, which means the radical lunatic left-wing will get louder and end up employing people like Michael Eric Dyson (I'm sure many of you noticed how he tried to beat up Jesse Lee Peterson on H&C the other night), Cornel West, and other "academics" to bolster their cause.

I say unforunately, because it'll be left for folks like me to play clean up and to try to show that these pseudo-academics (who thanks to publications like the "Chicago Sun-Times," where Dyson holds court, and movies like "The Matrix Reloaded" and "The Matrix Revolutions," both of which have cameos by West) are nothing but members of the fringe element that do not represent the mainstream of black America.
