Carnahan is clearly comfortable on the campaign trail.....

Carnahan comes on the local radio shows around here, and the show hosts are sooooo eager to have her come on that they agree NOT to accept phone calls from listeners....or else Carnahan says "No Show".

One day, a month or so ago, she finally did agree to take some phone calls, and every single call was critical of her. I had flop sweat just listening to the interview!

The opponents of Carnahan are ready to go, they are eager....the question remains, are there enough of us? Some recent poll numbers put Jim Talent ahead of Carnahan.....at worst it is a dead heat. I guess this is good.

After the rally, Carnahan welcomed newspaper reporters aboard her bus for an interview on the way to another rally in Moberly. Asked about Iraq, the senator said she would be hesitant to support a large-scale invasion by U.S. troops because of the fear that Saddam Hussein could use chemical or biological weapons against them.

"Any sort of frontal invasion of troops, he would still be able to use chemical and biological weapons on any number … I would like to see it done in some other way that would take less of a commitment of troops," she said, adding that "You do have forces within the country. You have the Kurds in the north and the Shiites in the south that could possibly be of some help there."

After repeating the standard class-baiting rhetoric per instructions from her McCauliffe handlers she makes the ground-breakingly bold statement above.

It's clear she's a democrat - she's an idiot.

Just keep reminding people that after old Mel bought the farm, John Ashcroft acted like an absolute gentleman and quit campaigning and did nothing to protest the MASSIVE press coverage that gave the election to a dead man. Then, when the Democrat governor appointed the "widder-woman" to the senate seat her dead husband had been illegally elected to, not a peep from John Ashcroft. But when Ashcroft came up in the Senate for confirmation as Attorney General, who voted against him? Jean "Widder-Woman" Carnahan. *itch. Democratic *itch. fsf

I hope this isn't a repeat. My post didn't come up.

The Dems have run out of campaign rhetoric! Isn't it interesting how the Dems are NOW using the words, "faith and family" now that President Bush has renewed our belief in both? Whatever happened to "it takes a village"? They should be called the COPY CAT PARTY.

Carnahan is a typical liberal! She is afraid that a handful of patriots may sacrifice their life in a battle to preserve our freedom and prevent a dictator like Saddam Hussein from developing weapons of mass destruction. Carnahan, like former President Clinton, happily stand believing meekness will somehow prevent these men of terror from causing chaos and taking thousands of innocent lives.

"...the Shiites in the south could possibly be of some help there." Ya, Jean, they sure as hell have been lotsa help in Iran!

I certainly hope the people of Missouri toss out this airhead. Just wonder how late the Dems in St.L will keep the polls open? Who will count the buses?

I understand Evita and her ilk have pulled out all the stops. More than just $$$. Bodes ill for Republicans...

I saw her on the Armed Forces committee on C-Span the other day. This lady is cluless. She really needs to go. Gen. Franks was respectful but clearly underwhelmed.

After delivering her stump speech yesterday, the candidate lingered to receive hugs, handshakes and words of encouragement from the partisan crowd and to sign campaign posters, fliers and even a picture of her late husband...."You don’t know me, but you are my hero," one woman told her.

This is pathetic. Hugs. Pictures of dead governors. And I'm really trying to figure out what she did to assume 'hero' status. This says less about Carnahan, however, than it says about her supporters.
