Funny- I have been on this forum long enough to remember Ritter as a hero. But God forbid he is against a war with Iraq with a Republican in the white house! Now - to disagree with a Bush is to be a traitor. Disgusting.

Read RBD"s post with the long quotes from Ritter's testimony under oath before congress. And contrast that with his abrupt change. Ritter changed and his statements today are as if he never made the initial statements at the time of the weapon's inspections. There is something very rotten there and it is in black and white if you will read it and read the follow up. I too remember Ritter as a hero. I suspect that when the Clinton/UN decided to contain Iraq rather than force them to comply with the terms of their surrender in the Gulf war that Ritter was a pesky inconience who was a thorn in their side. He was given the opportunity to do a great patriotic thing by sticking to his knowledge of what was going on there, and he didn't follow thru. Either he was paid or threatened but he is now a traitor to himself and probably to all of us and the Iraqis who hate Saddam and who are as we speak forced to stay in Baghdad to be human shields for a madman just as the jews were forced to labor for Hitler's war machine. Once a hero is not always a hero. Note the posts about Benedict Arnold. You reflexly make statements here iin this occasion without looking at evidence. To me, that means your posture is one that is more important to you than the facts.
