I am glad these vile slobs were caught.

If they weren't, they would have finished their business, no one would have known, and life would have gone on no worse for the wear. I assume the locals belive that their deity would have handled the blasphemers in an appropriate fashion.

How do you know what parishoners with children 20 feet away were doing to shield their children from this disgusting public display in what the children consider "God's House".

You think it's "no big deal"? You're vile and sick if you believe that.

Of course, the fact that there was a good risk of getting caught is why the radio station promoted the stunt in the first place.

As a general rule radio stations don't pull publicity stunts that are designed for nobody to find out about.

Only another manifestation of the continuing depravity of our society so endorsed. No big deal, huh?

"If they weren't, they would have finished their business, no one would have known, and life would have gone on no worse for the wear. ..."

The point is that the "vile slobs" (a perfect description) have absolutely no respect,...none... for the basic beliefs of those celebrating their faith. To suggest to "just give them a pass" is an insult to any person of faith (ANY FAITH)! All people of Faith were literally subjected to an unprovocted attack on their basic rights and being...
Additionally, it was done "for the amusement of the listening audience" and encourages the foulest and most depraved behavior in that audience (more damage).

Do you honestly think your statement that "life goes on no worse for wear," is an honest assessment?

It was being broadcast live.

What kind of life would have gone on no worse for the wear? The kind of life that this kind of behavior encourages, the final breakdown of the American family?

It's bad enough that these two were not man and wife, but it's worse that they would engage in the act that creates life as if it were a casual joke.

And then to do so in a house of worship because they thought it funny.

They should be caned.

And I'm an atheist, by the way.

I guess He did didn't He? I suppose "their Dieity" didn't want that done in His church.

I too am glad they were caught -- then maybe they'll feel some shame....

BTW no matter if no one in the church saw them --- God did.

If I read the article correctly, there was a running commentary by a radio personalitity. At least the few people who were listening to the program knew about it.

Your comment reminds of a an old saying, "You can judge a man's character by what he does when no-one is watching. I guess you figure if you are sneaky enough everything is ok.

This is not about legal vs. illegal, libertarian vs. Republican, or atheist vs. Christian. It's about right and wrong. The point most are making is about the wrongness of desecrating another's religion.

I imagine The Deity has forgiven them, along with everyone else who ever sinned (excepting the 'unforgivable sin'). The question is, do they know it, do they see their need for it, and will they accept it? Unless they do, it is wasted on them.
