"What about the NY cops who were listening in and did nothing until they heard another cop on the scene. What does it say about them?"

Sadly, I agree. (With the proviso that any were listening to a violation of NYC laws being committed... and did nothing).

Thank you for the comment, although I believe this thread is getting way off topic at this point.

If people are sensitive to what I considered was a funny quip and need to label me as a Catholic basher because of it and decide that I have an "agenda" then they are seriously mis-guided. And now you tell me my business is finished here. So much for a FR forum.

Generally, when someone thinks something is funny, an "LOL" will do. Everyone's crystal clear on the fact you find this stunt funny. Indeed, your "business" on that score is finished.

If your business of bashing Catholics and the Church is yet unfinished ... a thousand pardons.

Please continue your attack until you are done. (If you feel yourself flagging in the least, I'll be happy to ping in a couple of folks who'll be happy to help you out.

Wow. I can't believe how sensitive some people are. They removed my post. Things said about Clinton and most other democrats on this site are ten times worse than the joke I posted. No free speech on Free Republic? (I guess not if it maligns the corrupt Catholic Church in any way)

O.K. we should all not care because we weren't the subject of abuse?

The subject of abuse is off topic so is any thing else to do with the Catholic church. As you have been through this entire thread!

Yes and what they were doing was sick, sick, sick.......I did not wish them anything, but these two people are obviously low lifes and the chances of them catching something I think are pretty high. To do something like this in the House of God - a disease is to good for them!

Stop reading Narnia and pay attention. You give yourself to God, you give up individuality and reason.

Stop reading Ayn Rand and read Aristotle instead. Then you can move on to Aquinas.

and sex on air with a cop or firefighters would earn 100 points.

Interseting tidbit there.

I've read both Aristotle and Aquinas. But in addition to reading Aristotle, I've also read Plato's Apologia, which you might find enlightening.

This report is just stunning. There are not words to describe animals who would do something so repugnant. It doesn't matter what sort of house of worship. Any mosque, synagogue, shrine, church would be just as repulsive. That pair has no shame whatsoever.

Reading through comments here, I cannot believe any connection would be made between the church's internal problems and a pair of rutting animals who took up a radio station on a dare. One has absolutely nothing to do with the other.

And none of it is funny, either.

C.S. Lewis read the Apologia in the original tongue.

Well then---have you ever read the Autobiography of a Flea?

Your post was crude, off topic and disruptive to this thread. I am not Catholic but I was the one that complained about your post. I do not think jokes about butt fu$&ing children are funny nor was it appropriate to post it in this thread.

What attack? Where is my attack?

If you can explain the concrete connection between the scandal of abuse in the Catholic Church and this incident, I'll be happy to retract my use of "attack".

As the usher called for police, two officers who were tuned in to Mercurio's "blow-by-blow description" on the radio

"Hey Vinny, you listening ta dis here?"
"Yeah, Tony, dis is friggin' hysterical. Dis guy is doin' dis Donna Butanna who-ah in St. Patrick's cathedrial. Badda boom!"

heard in the background "verbal demands from a cop to move" and rushed into the cathedral, Beyrodt said.

"Holy crapola!", "Officer at risk!!, Officer at risk"! (sirens begin blazing, squad car burns rubber)

Ah, the morality of "our national heros"! LOL!

Actually, no, since the rules are set out by the owner, who can do whatever the hell he wants, since it's his website. But there are plenty of FReepers with a sense of common decency.

I regret to inform you that 19th century pornography is one of the subjects in which I am least interested. No, I have not read "Autobiography of a Flea."
