The need for Chinese linguists says nothing. Anyone who really speaks Chinese tends to get over the propaganda. People need to see the real China and hence will know Beijing is full of arrogant dictators who need to be put in their place.
Educated Chinese are going through a dangerous period of hubris, nationalism, and jingoistic fascistic fantasies at present. Let us hope this too passes before something highly unpleasant ensues. The Chinese need to lose a local war somewhere perhaps.
