Culture trumps race in times of peace and plenty, but when the lights go out, race matters. At that time, it will be very dangerous to be a liberal white trapped in a majority-minority area, no matter what the liberals beliefs. The mobs will kill him for his skin color, they will not stop to chat about political theory.

If things were to get bad though, I can't imagine black doctors attacking white doctors, or black nurses attacking white nurses they've worked with. Blacks in upper or middle class neighborhoods aren't going to riot or burn. I think the race wars will be in the government dependent classes.
