Legal immigrants are often worse than the illegals because they can qualify for more government hand-out programs. You forget that the average level of education for most of the latest immigrants is third grade (foreign besides), they speak no English nor do they wish to. The US has a limit of how many very low-skilled jobs that are available ---when they lose these jobs they don't go back to Mexico because the handouts here are more appealing.

Then when amnesty is made, they no longer qualify for the low-paying illegal jobs, more illegals must be imported for those jobs since the now legal amnestied can't legally work for less than minimum wage. Amnesty doesn't provide the work skill or language skills needed to compete in this country so they require government programs to stay here.
