OH, NO!!

Realize when I was little we had only snail mail and telephones and telegrams for communicating; and radios and films in theaters for news and entertainment.

In 1947, the month I turned 13, I was in the National Spelling Bee and it was the first time it was televised.

Now look at how far we have come!!

I remember how during WWII, EVERY letter to or from a military man or woman was handled by a Real Person, blacking out ANYTHING pertaining to information about location or movement, etc.
That is now impossible to do, e-mail flowing through cyberspace.

We are so blessed to talk daily with so many persons around the world.

That's an alliteration, but no matter what you call it, it's a great phrase!! Don't be surprised if it pops up on a couple of my posts from time to time.

(BTW, Encarta online says onomatopoeia is an imitation of sound in words: the formation or use of words that imitate the sound associated with the thing or action in question, for example, "hiss" and "buzz.")

Thanks, Libertina - I don't have the originals of any of them anymore. Some I offered for a silent auction at a Republican Fund Raiser in Dallas almost two years ago, and the others I mailed to the Bushes.
