Guess you missed the point:

Have you brought up a child who is afraid to talk to his/her parents?

*That's* the issue.

Talk to your kids. Let them know how you feel. But also let them know: they can come to you with *any* problem.

Do that, and no, it shouldn't be an issue.

Afraid not punkit. The issue is who has "parental rights" over your kids, you or the state. You've made your choice and so have I.
