Remember the photo op search of Rock Creek Park? This is the same thing. Is anybody going to remember seeing Hatfill or anyone else posting a letter ten months ago? No. More meaningless theatrics.
The important point is, when the dust settles and the "lone nut" theory dies a very public death, which will be in a few days, everybody will be forced to ask themselves: "Who gave Mohammed Atta the anthrax, and what for?"

Well, I hope you're right. But in the meantime this poor guy's life is being turned upside down. And, for all we know, the authorities are going to tighten the screws further. If they can do this to somebody as highly placed as this government scientist, not many of us are safe.
