Why we do it is because some people are wrong and some people are right. Those who are wrong deserve to be politically inactivated, and silenced. They are of no use in the endless quest for preservation of life, liberty and property. They say things like 'don't search a terrorist's computer without a warrant. It might violate his rights'.
