I think most of these "security" positions are low-wage, highly repetitive and monotonous, and filled by minimally qualified people. While many may be minorities who "have a chip on their shoulder" for whatever reason, I would not generalize that as a major problem. You come across individuals like that in all walks of life, and all socio-economic classes. IMHO, its simply a matter of humdrum, boring, low-skilled incompetence, regardless of their ethnic background.

Actually, anecdotally. In Atlanta, allegedly the black male security goobers will go out of their way to *repeatedly* search any single black female. (happened to a friend of mine and to every other single black female within line of sight as well...) *sigh*. That probably falls under the 'men will be men' discussion tho.
