Loved your earlier links and I had to tell a story of a friend of mine whose three year old son's first words were..."ON!"...The house was totally ripped up to add a third story and little one had full access to ALL the plugged in power tools strewn about the floor in the remo area!8-O. He'd toddle up to anything and pull the trigger...ON he'd say and sure enough the circular saw would obediently spin up! I was horrified but It weren't My kid AND he grew up with all his fingers attached...Sheesh! So OFF may not be the worst talent for a youngun!!!

This grand daughter has been this way all of her life.

You will pay attention to her. She does it in a teasing fashion so you can't get mad at her. Her dad will try to ignore her and read a fishing magazine. She will get into his lap and "read" with him or take one of her books crawl in anyone's lap and just say "Read to me, please!"

Her younger brother, whom I have nicknamed Bam Bam, just grabs you and won't let go. When he wakes up from his nap, he will grab one of us and drag us over to the refrigerator and punch it until we open it and fill his tippee cup with milk. Then he will hold your hand until he drains the first cup. Then he bangs the empty cup against your leg until you refill it. Then he drags you back to the couch to pick him and hold him until he finishes his second cup of milk. Subtle moves are not his nature.
