While trying to play 'catch-up', I'd like to join the others in thanking the troops who come to visit us here and who send those wonderful e-mails. Years ago I made up a motto that I try to live by:

"If I can put a smile on the face of at LEAST one friend each day, that's a wonderful thing. If I can touch the life of at LEAST one stranger in a positive way each, I've really accomplished something."

It seems to me that everybody at the Canteen has the same motto and lives by it well, and I'm including the troops in that. Mail Call is when it really shows, when we see how we touch the lives of others. It makes me proud to be among such wonderful people and I salute you all!

God bless America and watch over our troops!

Dang! I knew I'd flub up! I can whip out 'silly' in a flash but 'serious' takes some time. I forgot to put one of the main reasons for my last post in there. Dopey me!

I love reading each e-mail from the troops on Mondays and was delighted to see the personal 'hellos' from Kyle and Joe. THAT's what made me think of posting my little motto. You both accomplished something today by touching my life in a very positive way! And you put a HUGE smile on my face! I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

And I thank you and ALL our Service men and women, active and Vets, for your service to this country!
