The shame of it is........I have worked /served with many wonderful, black professionals both in the military and in the business world who were truly credits to their organizations. I have seen others who were clearly "affirmative action" or
thinly veiled affirmative action beneficiaries who were nothing short of abyssmal. "Unqualified" is a gross understatement. It's
these types who do nothing but cast aspersions on blacks in their respective fields..........including those who were unfortunate enough to be VERY good at what they did but were immediately suspect due to their color.......and the image put forth by the incompetence of their affirmative action-promoted brethren.
I suppose what I'm trying (miserably) to say is that black America would absolutely, positively be much better off without affirmative action or anything resembling it: quotas of any kind, etc.

The affirmative action system turns out to be a wonderful way to keep blacks down on the plantation. Anyone with real talent is under suspicion of being incompetent. Patients at Mass. General Hospital have refused to be treated by black residents, assuming they were incompetent. However, it is a system that is great for black "leaders," and for liberal politicians. Unfortunately, many blacks don't have the good sense to realize how they are being hurt.

I think it is a case to calculate what is good for black America. What about just doing what is right...because it is right. Racial preferences are evil and should be repudiated just because they are evil.
If we are to have a hope of turning this around, there is something we can do immediately, namely work to defeat Mary Landrieu.

If the conservative agenda is to have a chance of succeeding and if conservative judges are to gain Senate approval, we must preserve a Republican Senate--which is in greater jeopardy than many realize.
For those who understand why the Louisiana election is crucial to retaining the Senate in the face of possible Republican defections by Chafee and McCain, please see the article just posted on:
