Just a question, Jack...

If JoeEveryman didn't bring this up, was the Network (or JimRob) gonna tell the forum about this at some point? As much as you can question Joe Everyman's motives, I do wonder about this.

It is a shame that it usually takes someone who is spurned to bring these issues to the forum, as it would seem to me that the most logical step would be for those with the authority to do so would.

Excuse me, DeadManRunning.

Aren't you the banned former Freeper by the name of Francisandbeans?

Aren't you the same individual who now spends much of your day on LibertyPost commisserating with the AFers?

I think it is important that other Freepers know that you are doing this on that board.

I think other Freepers should now question your motives for getting in bed with these AFers.

I am not saying you are an AFer, but you know the old adage about sleeping with dogs......

I also have no idea why you were banned either but it just strikes me as odd that you would attempt to re-register after being banned, for whatever reason, and then decide to surrepticiously attempt to harm FreeRepublic.

I'm one of those oldtimers on FR and I've seen folks come and go. I've never understood why bannees continue to come back and do the same stuff over and over again.

JimRob has proven himself to be an unbelievable patient (IMHO - too patient!) man with folks like you.

I honestly can't say, DMR. I would like to jump up and say "Sure. Absolutely." But I don't know that for certain. Obviously this is a sensitive issue, and to publicize it would have had to serve some benefit, other than to satisfy the morbid curiosity of a few thrill-seekers. But once it was resolved, I don't think anyone would have had any reason to hide it either.

The South Carolina folks were the victims of a crime. They are not to blame any more than a person whose house is burgled. Nobody likes to admit they were conned, and we're no different. But we understand the position of trust we're in, and we know the damage suspicion can wreak. I'd like to think that that recognition alone would impel us to fully disclose the results of this investigation to interested parties.

By the way, I should emphasize that I don't speak for the South Carolina chapter, nor in any official capacity as a representative of the Free Republic Network. The sentiments expressed above are mine alone.
