This is truly interesting... I now realize (duuh...) there's a considerable social aspect to this website, to the point of factionalism and schoolyard cliques.

I've never even *thought* of socializing with anyone on here; it's just a place to obtain information and exchange ideas. Now I'm *dumbfounded* at the byzantine sociopolitical undercurrents of which I've become aware as a result of this post and your previous one in the same vein...

This is the second time, recently, that I've realized what a blessing is my nearly complete alienation from humanity... (the first was upon seeing what happened to a friend when she divorced, and had to deal with a circle of friends and their mixed loyalty to her and her "ex").

Yup. Have been fortunate not to have an ex in real life, but have managed to acquire more than my fair share in the virtual world. Hell hath no fury like a FReeper scorned.

Thank God most FReepers are still fighting on the same side (I think).
