Wasn't it always partly that and part of it's appeal?

It used to be rather innocent, though--even the tinfoil hat stuff.

The problem isn't that silly stuff gets posted, but that along with it comes the most mean, vicious garbage you've ever seen.

CASE IN POINT: A post that was pulled earlier, yesterday or this morning, about the shooting of a cop in Ohio. Allegedly, the guy who shot the cop during the ever-popular "routine traffic stop" was one of the fringe-type FReepers. Well, because of that, the thread reporting the story degraded into a bunch of replies like "too bad he didn't take five more down with him," etc.

It's just VICIOUS, HATEFUL, SPITEFUL stuff!

Extremely so, Illbay. It also does nothing to help the advance the conservative view point.

To many people are trying to practice things that in theory might sound good and work for people who understand them. Such is the "self" sovereignty crap that is out there. They don't study it, they don't seek advice on it, they just assume that because they read one or two sentences they are knowledgeble on the subject.

I cringe when I think that these are the type of people that my brother has to deal with as well as the criminal element.
