I sit here watching these tapes and tremble at the abuse we had to take, and deep inside the abuse is compounded by a democrat party with no morals and no love for this country....
They are an insult to 9-11

I know what you mean....it seems like the word went out....don't remind the people what happened, just educate them in schools that they should read the Koran

The photograph of the people hanging out of the WTC windows above the crash point is the most haunting to me.
Our country will never unite as long as the rats continue to obstruct, blame, and twist for their own political gain. They are responsible for dividing our country and giving special rights to the most immoral of people - all in the name of votes. Our safety procedures are undermined by politically correct posturing and our President is attacked daily by lies from the media.
I relive the tragedy of 9/11 nearly everyday and have reread the original threads on several occasions. I'm afraid I just more furious as time goes by.

and we can't forget the steady drumbeat of "islam is a religion of peace" coming from the mouth of our president. constantly, relentlessly, ad nauseum. it worked so well that some polls taken AFTER 9/11 showed ameicans have more positive feelings towards muslims. the hypnosis worked.

Yeah, but in addition to emoting, we also need to look at it coolly and objectively, remembering that this was a very ingenious and audacious operation conceived of by a very resourceful and disciplined foe -- not the religious fanatic we recently vaporized in the mountains of Afghanistan, incidentally -- and we should think about what that means.
Here's one good place to start: September 11, 2001.

It is natural to forget "HORROR".....it is a self-defensive mechanism that kicks in much like the refusal of one's own mind to contemplate one's own death. Example: You NEVER die in your own dream.
That being said I agree that we need to be reminded that OUR COUNTRY was attacked and that we lost 3000 innocent civilians. I also agree the gimmies really don't give a damn.....it is all about POWER to them, power to control the masses with program after program to make everyone of us dependent on them.

I had a thread going that morning, but I had to get off the computer once the second plane hit and I realized we were
under attack...I had relatives in town to locate by phone, and relatives out of town to inform that we were all alive and at a safe distance from the towers, but to stand by because I didn't know what was going to happen next. Then I watched the South Tower collapse on television, and after that there's a big blank in my memory that hasn't been filled in to this very day.
Anyway. I do remember trying to get to FreeRepublic about two hours after that, and it was slow as Christmas with all the traffic, threatening to crash any minute. There were threads with titles angrier than anything I've ever seen. Some extremely long threads too, that I was too dazed to deal with at the time. One was called something like "Okay, So We're At War--What Now?" and it seemed to have hundreds of replies. I've never been able to find that thread again.
I know a lot of threads were pulled that day, but if that one survived an anyone has the URL, I'd like to finally read it.l

I think of all of the stories I've read about that day, yours is one of the most touching.

I got home in Prince William County, VA a few hours after the attack. I had to take alternate routes through parts of Fairfax County and I remember looking at other drivers as we made our way to somewhere. I'll never forget the expressionless faces I saw that day. When I did get home, I couldn't use the internet or the phone, so I spent some time trying to remember what route I took. It was as if I had to do that to be sure I was connected to the real world. Those Unforgetable Threads take me back.

I thought amnesia only existed on soap operas, until it happened to me. :-\
