So because Marxism incorporates materialism and Marxism was one of the 'ideals' upon which modern communsitic governments were based (though in truth most of them would be more accurately termed 'socialistic'), materialism equals communism?

Sorry, I don't buy it. Judaism incorporates god-belief and Christianity's roots lie in Judaism, but I'm not foolish enough to believe that god-belief equals Christianity.
