Better beef up your "best estimates." The Spanish may have killed at least that many Incas alone.

By disease or persecution? If it was disease, did the Spaniards intend to do it? Is intent required for murder? Be careful here.

By the way, how many Incas died in ritual sacrifice on Pagan altars? I think I read somewhere that Christians put an end to that practice.
