I have no stack. I identify with no one who murders, tortures or attempts to coerce belief.
My point is simply that evil people will attach themselves to any ideology or theology that can be used as a justification for their actions. Ideas and beliefs do not cause people to be evil. Nor do ideas innoculate people against evil. Otherwise your (presumably Christian) body count would be zero. If ideas cause behavior, how can you account for even a single victim of the Inquisition or a single person forced to convert.
People are good or bad irrespective of their beliefs.
