Good luck on your new position as District Commissioner. Nationwide there is a dearth of good Unit Commissioners, so I hope you can help with improving the situation in your Council.
Thanks for your comments about the huge job of Dirtrict Commissioner. I have to recruit some 18-20 Unit Commmisioners and a few assistants as well due to the size of the district. We have been lacking this for a long time and The Troops, Packs and others has been suffering as a result.
On the other hand, our finances are good and have not suffered from the recent ridiculous attacks. If anything, they have improved somewhat. What we need is better communications and help from the BSA Council to the Troops.
I hope to provide that with the assistance of the District exec. (who is totally buried in paperwork most of the time) Again, I appreciate the good words. Much luck to you as well.....Wirestripper
