We have plenty of Jordans and Askins, they just need to be given the right (and duty) to shoot back.

I don't think Askins or Jordan ever asked for his rights to shoot back.
Some Mexican Bad guy killed a young Border Patrol officer. Askins crossed the border with someone else and attended a cockfight where the suspect was reputed to be. Someone shot out the lights and then the poor unfortunate hero of the Mexican people was somehow ventilated.
Jordan wrote in his book that there was a shootout across the border between the BP on one side and the unknown Mexicans on their side. It lasted all day.
After it was all over, the district BP Captain was screaming at the participants as to why it lasted all day. The officers stated that they were pinned down and couldn't get out.
The Captain yelled at them, "Hell, someone came back four times for more ammo!"

AMEN!!!! This situation (sooner or later) is going to get real ugly. My heart tells me, that the citizens are going to start taking this into their own hands, since our Government won't pay attention anyways.
