Nearly every state has laws like this. Some, like Texas go even further. Murder is an unlawful killing. A lawful killing isn't murder. A better question would have been, where is "murder" or an unlawful killing lawful. Or when can murder be excused. There is kinda a trick answer to that. I'll let some freepers try. parsy.

I don't have any problem with that law at all.

Hmmmm, when is the "unlawful killing of another human being" lawful?

My brain hurts. I am pinging some FReepers to share my misery.

Several states give you the ability to use lethal force to defend yourself. The catch is, that in too many states, they make it too difficult to own a gun so you can do this.

It's lawful and heroic to decapitate your beautiful blonde ex-wife Nicole and her friends if you are a black, washed-up football star.

...it's been postulated that being the 42nd President of the United States and Co-President enables one to leave a trail of bodies without repurcussions. Not to mention getting away with rape, perjury...

Gee, thanks. I think that falls into the category of unlawful lawful acts.

That may be so, but New Hampshire is also one of the few (if not the only) state who's citizens have a constitutional right to revolution... gotta love it! ;0)

When someone rapes your wife, daughter, or mother, or molests your child, and you track them down and put a bullet between their eyes!

That is what I would consider a "LAWFUL MURDER"!

Self defense is not murder. But abortion is, several million dead babies, killed legally. And what is recognized as murder in this country may not be legal, but when true murderers get out in 7 years for "good behaviour", it may as well be.

Live free or die, indeed. My parents have owned a camp on Winnipesaukee since I was a toddler, and seeing that motto a dozen times every year as I grew up left a lasting impression. As soon as the market turns around and you folks start hiring us tech geeks again, I'm packing bags and never coming back. (I'd move there now an commute, but I think it would be *worse* to taste the freedom every night, but return to Mass hell every weekday!)

And, my source iff'n ya think I'm kidding...

June 2, l784

[Art.] l0. [Right of Revolution.] Government being instituted for the common benefit, protection, and security, of the whole community, and not for the private interest or emolument of any one man, family, or class of men; therefore, whenever the ends of government are perverted, and public liberty manifestly endangered, and all other means of redress are ineffectual, the people may, and of right ought to reform the old, or establish a new government. The doctrine of nonresistance ag ainst arbitrary power, and oppression, is absurd, slavish, and destructive of the good and happiness of mankind.

Remember when they tried to pass a law making it so you were limited to PURCHASING ONLY ONE GUN PER MONTH? Myself, and lots of my family were VERY ticked... ;0)
