>Well since carpenty in His day meant heavy masonry, the real Jesus was probably one tough hombre, and probably had little trouble tossing the money changers about.
I think he was a tough enough hombre all right, but there is no Biblical evidence that he spent any time in the construction trades after age 12. There is a lot of extra-Biblical suggestion that he may have spent some of the next 20 years exercising his American Express travel card.

I know that Mel is religous and if he is meeting with religous leaders, chances are he is going to do this right. This would be great, because hopefully with a big name star many non-Christians will see this movie.

"Well, Esau had red hair."(In Johnny Carson's voice:) "I did not know that..."
There is always the chance Hollywood would attempt to mock Christ by casting an odd-looking character like 'Carrot-Top', OR worse --....Danny DeVito!

Hate to disappoint you, but Mel will not only bring the "Hollywood Politics", but his catholic-reprobate mindset as well.
But, he is cute, isn't he? Poor guy.

...forced a Communist Soviet Union that could NOT afford it to do the same for Communist North Vietnam.
...It BANKRUPTED them in the end was we all witnessed the Fall of the Berlin Wall -&-the Communist Soviet Union years later...
...while The Enemy Within HILLARY RODHAM, BILL CLINTON -&- their Friend WALTER CRONKITE shed tears of blood.
May GOD Bless our Freedom Fighters...

The Agony in the Garden scene alone would be worth the ticket price, nobody does despair like Mel!!
Do you think he'll ask Danny Glover to play St Peter ;)?

Since I didn't know who he is, I just did a quick web searc on Jim Caviezel - he'd be PERFECT for the role :)
