If an F16 had shot 93 down, the controllers responsible for that area would have known about it and I would have heard or read about it through some of our communication channels.

Why would at least one civilian air traffic controller necessarily have known that a plane was shot down?

My duaghter's best friend's Dad is an ATC. He was on duty and in a place where he saw everything on 9/11. He is forbidden to discuss it. Period. I asked him again last week. Still can't talk.

The only thing I could get out of him was it "was creepy."

I've always felt that these guys got shot down.

However, the "lets roll" story is much better for the war effort.
