Chester is definitely bad, but is it worse than Camden or Newark?

Ew! How about Trenton? Marcus Hook?
They all could give Chester a run for the money when it comes to ugliest and most depressing places in the U.S.
BTW I believe Chester also is oldest city in the U.S...and it looks like it.

When we were first married, my husband taught school and sailed on the Sun oil tankers in the summer. He wanted me to pick him up at Marcus Hook in the middle of the night and drive him home. I had been staying at his mother's house and she wouldn't let me leave until daylight, so he had to wait on the dock in Marcus Hook for hours (no cell phones in those days). He was so angry, I don't think he is over yet, thiry years later.
