Then why say something that you know was not true? That was in fact, a rather silly piece of propaganda

It's called EUPHEMISM.

RU486 is only used in the first five weeks or so of a pregnancy. I think it cannot be used once there is a placenta in place. I really doubt anyone would use RU486 at 10 weeks.

Coat hanger? Please. I sincerely doubt that a coat hanger was used often if at all. It would be a silly and painful way of doing the job and would lead to some serious medical complication for the woman.

I think the coat-hanger thing is more of an urban myth. Most illegal abortions were performed by doctors. The coat hanger/ knitting needle option was for do-it-yourselfers.

And as for the serious medical complications, a relative of mine actually died as a result of trying just that. I had always heard that my grandmother's cousin died of "blood poisoning", but for some reason all my aunts and uncles decided I was old enough to be privy to the truth at our last reunion, about fifteen years ago. I was "pro-choice" back then and even so, my first thought was not "oh, if only she'd had a safe legal option in the 1940s". It was "how freaking stupid, what a shame she thought she had to do that".

Sorry, apparently you didn't read my post #29:

No, I read it. It says:

Outley did not disclose details of her client's hospitalization, but Curry said she took Meyers to the emergency room after Meyers hemorrhaged throughout the day on Monday. Later that night, the baby died, Curry said.

Then, you assumed that she was:

"...in the hospital hemorraging ..."

I’ll assume that you meant “hemorrhaging". See the difference?

Emotional? Which part of my post was that? Just recounting the suddenness of what happened. Unlike me, you post with no basis in fact. Your idle speculation has a value of zero.

Doubtful on the reconciliation... She had a court ordered restraining order against him because he was violent...

Mrs. Curry should not use God to say he made the decision when she was forcing her will on her daughter.!!!

Would you be upset if Pennsylvania residents carried out regular protests in front of this mothers home? How about posting flyers in public places with her picture and accusations that she is responsible for the death of her daughter's child?

Should this woman be held in contempt by society and made to suffer for her complicity in the babies death?

Your idle speculation has a value of zero.

Great. Then, don't read or comment on it.

Read it. And yes, it is propaganda with a sprinkling of fact, lots of speculation and a heavy dollop of half-truths.

Where, in the excerpt, is there propaganda, speculation, and half-truths? Enlighten me.

Good form?

Yeah, good form, common courtesy, empathy. Are these foreign words to you or do only women mourn at the passing of a child?

You make it sound as if the kid was riding a tricyle and got hit by a car.

Why bother with this guy? He said above that he prefers his idle speculation to the facts. He's a waste of time. People who think they know everyting generally are.

"I think we all know that there are things a woman can do to 'force' a miscarriage."

Which is exactly why abortion should be legal...

They will probably be in the newspaper or available online--or worse yet, on Phil Donahue.

Are you just correcting spelling? Because if not, I can tell you from personal experience that you will hemorrhage until you get that D & C. The bleeding just doesn't stop, and I'm saying that as someone who's never been pregnant but has had 3 D & C's just the same.
