The reason he gave is that he wanted to spend more time with his family. I believe it. He announced he wasn't running even before he knew Fast Eddie would be the Dems nominee.

Just this week some Fisher signs have gone up here in the heartland of PA. Rendell signs have been around for weeks! I, too, have been wondering why Fisher isn't campaigning. Didn't I hear he had lots of $$$, since he spent little on the primary?

The Republican South Hills area will go for Fisher. (He's from Upper St. Clair, part of that solid middle class and upper-middle class area.) But the rest of Allegheny county, Fisher will have to work for. The unions of course will tell their members to vote Democratic.
