My comment was meant to provide an introduction for posting a portion of a news story about statements made by the mayor of Hiroshima. Those statements fit in nicely with this thread, although I disagree with the mayor's sentiments about American power.

My comment was hardly intended to be taken as a literal recommendation that the US should nuke Japan today.
