I am mildly ashamed of how avidly I am enjoying her demise as the perfect homemaker.

It's called, "Schadenfreude" (pronounced SHAH-den-Froi-duh). Leave it to the Germans to coin a word for taking pleasure in others' misfortune.

I must also confess the guilty pleasure of indulging in the same Schadenfreude.
