That is a gross over simplification. The 11th commandment initially applied to Republican primaries, and how we should not bad-mouth each other. But, Bush violated it himself when he claimed that Congressional Republicans who oppose illegal immigration like to keep Mexicans in poverty and would rather see them suffer.

So why did Bush bash House Republicans in the previous campaign (using Democrapic rhetoric, no less)?

I don't think they ought to balance their budget on the backs of the poor
