Reminds me of an evening I spent in lobby bar at Schweitzerhof Hotel in Berlin before the wall came down. My companion was a French diplomat of Russian extraction based at embassy in Poland.

"Vlad," I said. "How many of these people are spies?"

He looked around quickly and replied, "All of them."

That was high --and unexpected --adventure for me at the time. Seems innocuous now that we are the target of terrorists.
