That's a pretty piss-poor analogy to what I was saying. Try again.

You're assuming that none of the thousands of viewers of the FBI's porn site had access to any other child porn, had ever molested a child before or might have been contemplating the molestation of children in the future.

This FBI sting is going to do alot of good and, except in your wild imagination, no harm at all.

If the proper authorities, in all of these countries, bust these viewers, search their homes and interview children they might have come in contact with, a great service will have been done to the world community.

How many of these perverts will have tapes and still pictures made by monsters like Robles Perez?

Track those back to the source and alot of children might be saved.

By working this site a little longer, the FBI might have caught the next Avilla or Robles Perez.

Read Valpal1's post #54. Valpal1 is correct. These were not the FBI's websites. They belonged to others that were arrested.

There's not one bit of inference in the article that the FBI left the sites open one moment more than it took them to bust down the doors.

Pedophiles do too much damage to children that catching them however they must is necessary. I think everyone knows the internet isn't very anonymous anyhow and that everything you do is traceable.

Obviously, there's a few thousand paedophiles on this planet that didn't know exactly that. I hope the authorities help them all get a clue.

"No need to distribute child porn, unless they want to attract NEW users(make some more pervs)....Ahhh.... fresh air! "

I think that "fresh air" has created a vortex somewhere between your left ear and your right ear...

LEO's inevitably go after the easiest and least threatening targets irregardless of the impact of the crime.

Just like most predators.

Amazing - we have had thread after thread of supporters for computer generated child porn. Many even left this site because of the views put on there by Freepers.

Now, when the FBI uses this child porn to catch the users - they again mount an attack on the action - now claiming that the FBI is responsible for causing the child rape.

If I remember correctly - the earlier threads swore that child rape was not caused by the mere incitement of child porn - that many could view it and never harm anyone. Kind of a switch in views isn't it?

Maybe they just resent anyone knowing that they look at the stuff and want to keep on doing so and they fear that somehow the FBI may run across their ID. I hope they are scared silly.

I would be in agreement with the FBI investigating any that ever accessed PAID FOR child porn on the internet.

Read posts #54 and #63. The FBI didn't run these web sites. Looks like they closed them down right away.

I wouldn't care if they had run them, anyway.

I hope they burn these perverts.

There's not one bit of inference in the article that the FBI left the sites open one moment more than it took them to bust down the doors.

From the article --

Unbeknown to the paedophiles, the two sites which they were using had been seized last year by agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

.....

In October, detectives in the US arrested the websites' owners and seized the database.

I don't see where it says they closed it down. It does seem to imply that the customers continued to use it after it was siezed.

And, anyway, you seem to think they messed up if they shut it down. There is obviously not enough info in the article to say for sure whether they did or not. I hope they did shut it down immediately. And I hope they don't sell heroin to children to solve underage drug-use problems.

Truly amazing how many folks we can surface who defend the right to look at kiddie porn.

Profound mental horsepower there...

Only two kinds of people: kiddie porn aficionados and moral giants like you.

There are no persons ever, smart enough to see the questionable and dangerous potential abuse and questionable tactics used in campaigns "for the children".
After all, that requires an IQ over 35...

Do we allow bank robbers to go free because they may blame the robbery on you?

Ummmmmm.

Wrong question.

Should the authorities be allowed to break down your door, seize you house and assets, throw you in the pokey and make your life a living hell because someone stole your identity?

The problem with moral absolutists is that they know only one thing: act first and ask questions later...
It's for the children.

No. We cannot allow perverts, crooks, terrorists, et al free reign because of the FEAR of action being taken against innocents. This thinking would never have allowed the wild west to be tamed, this country formed, laws made or prisons built. We would all be subject to any onslaught by those wanting to take from us with no help from law enforcement to protect us.

We just have to be sure there are safe methods of recourse should an innocent have to face the system.
