Hassan, who was dumped by the late King Hussein as his successor just days before his death, is revered by many Iraqis as the most senior member of the Hashemite royal family
Perhaps we should help Hassan become the next king of Jordan.

This has just been said to be
FAKE just this very moment by both the Pentagon and George W. Bush! It is not true.
According to the Pentagon it is due to 'some lower level guy trying to impress his girlfriend by disseminating such stuff.' That is what the Pentagon said (they actually included the 'girlfriend' statement).
GW on the other hand said it was a 'level 5 clearance person flexing his muscles.'
The Pentagon has already apologized to King Abdullah for the statements.
Now my question is this: first we get leaks to the media from congress! Now we are having people in the pentagon taking it upon themselves to spread statements just for the heck of it!!!!
What the heck is happening. I think Rumsfeld needs to get the guys in congress leaking plans, grab the guy spreading the lies, and then hand them over as traitors to the AG!

I do not know about the Hashemite 'ancestry' or whatever. All i was saying was posting the fact that the whole story of King Abdullah being in cahoots with Saddam was merely the wet dream of some 'level 5' guy int he pentagon trying to prove some point. that's all.
And by the way Abdullah seems to be quite different from his father. Very different.
But anyway the point of my post concerned the credence of the thread not on Hashemite ancestry.

Can none of them be trusted?Of course they can. The dead ones, can be "trusted," to remain dead.

I have been watching Fox all morning. I have seen NO report that this story is a fake. If there were such a denial it might be of the "plausible deniability" variety.
In addition, Abdullah, like his father, is a hypocrite. He whines about a Palestinian state, when in fact his own father kicked Arafat and many Palestinians out of Jordan, to say nothing of killing others.
His father came this close to being dethroned by Arafat. Israel helped save his ass in fact.

Just saw a ticker on MSNBC about iraq providing bio weapons to palestinians for use against Israel and or Americans.Any body know the source of this info?

Clearly, the indication that we are subsidizing a despicable little moon-god worshipping toad who is transmitting our intelligence directly to our avowed enemy, Saddam Hussein, is a serious matter. Heads of all shapes and sizes and ranks would have to roll like bowling balls if this were shown to be true. Hence, it is in the interest of the entire Executive Branch nomenklatura to engage in vociferous denial. The more true the rumor, the louder the denial. Home run...game, set, match...goalllll...

So...that's what you've been doing.
:-)
Long time no see.

Perfect description. Abdullah has 60% of his kingdom supporting Arafag. He is following in the footsteps of hi father and great grandfather. The Hashemites in Jordan play all sides to keep from getting wiped out. Not a trusted ally.

Death to tyrants, kings and potentates.
We are Republicans, we should oppose any and all parasitic monarchies, whether in Europe or anywhere else.

A senior INC leader, Dr. Ahmad Chalabi, said Abdullah was acting as "Saddam's lawyer in America... He defends Saddam and uses every opportunity to warn off any American attempt to help the Iraqi people liberate themselves."Abdullah? Saddam's lawyer? Isn't that peacenik* Ramsey Clarke's job?
*Translating from the leftese: A "peacenik" is one who supports violent, militaristic insurgents; the blood-soaked, oppressive dictators they invariably install; and opposses any attempt to relieve or liberate their victims.
