When I said that this nation would not understand Japanese or for that matter Korean and Chinese xenophobia I actually meant it as a compliment to the U.S. for its open mindedness and tolerance of new ideas. Historically and contemporarily :)

I understand Japanese xenophobia. I call it "sanity". I'll make a prediction: 100 years from now, Japan will be Japanese. 500 years from now, Japan will still be Japanese. And they or the Chinese will probably rule the world, as the "Death of the West" will have occured sometime between those two time periods.

Isolationism did not work for the nations of East Asia and it will never work for us. The West is hardly dying. Its greatest ideals like freedom, democracy, economic liberalism and rule of law are recognized everywhere in the world as right and good. However our traditions are being attacked by leftists and modern liberals who do not realize the inherent flaw of human beings including humans who developed a civilization where "all men are created equal". If anything we are a victim of our own success and righteousness. I agree with you that open borders are not feasible when much of the world remains mired in poverty. But I am not advocating open borders. However I do advocate globalization and the free flow of ideas, information and goods unihibited by the regulations of government. Nations that are hostile to foreigners also tend to be hostile to foreign ideas no matter how good they may be. Japan or China can never rule the world if they remain as xenophobic as they have been in the past. In fact I will reiterate that their past xenophobia and arrogance made their nations weak, especially China since it would have been able to colonize the West Coast and trade ideas with Europe if not for their inward looking nature. Look what happened when the Japanese found Commodore Perry ready to blow up their island. The Japanese were fortunate to learn a good lesson from the Opium Wars of resistance to outsiders. Now the nations of East Asia know this and that is why Japan is debating about increasing foreign immigration. That is why China is opening up to the rest of the world and to free markets. The only way Western Civilization will die is if it is not open to change and new ideas. If we are flexible the American nation will last 5000 years.

Mexico hasn't been a Catholic country since the revolution. It's a socialist state in which most of the peons are still Catholic but who have no voice in the government. That you have to ask what went wrong there shows you need to refrain from lecturing others on history.

Telling lies again? Did you see Fox kiss the ring?
Still waiting for your source that shows Bush wanting to amnesty 20 million.

When you lie a little, all your rhetoric is bs.

I agree with you on this one.
