Guy who actually did it called into the Ken and John show and stated he heard about the amber and the number to call on KFI. Not even close to a freeway let alone a sign. He thought he saw the perp and didn't have a radio or cell phone, so he scratched the Lic. number in the dirt and after the perp passed, he transferred onto his lunch box. When the pilot car returned he turned on KFI and after confirming the call number, they reported the sighting.
Davis stole the congress mans glory tailored the work of a real hero to inject himself into the story for his own benefit.
