I hate when things get split up like this. There's more talk about this here. I got distracted and didn't hear the entire show. I'm gonna try to find the archived file.

You've listened to Milt much more than I so you know more about him than I do. I'm curious about him. He's been doing his show on 'GN forever. Funny how one of the emailers, who apparently was a regular Milt listener, admonished Milt for having Ann on, I believe the writer said that Milt had "stooped to a new low". If he were conservative wouldn't you think that his regular listeners wouldn't be so upset about Ann's being on his show? This doesn't prove anything, it's just a curiousity--to me anyway. Though I can't cite anything specific, in the past I've heard some pretty leftist views come from his guests and no disagreements coming from Milt. That's what I'm basing my comments on.

Milt is definitely a conservative. I had dinner with him this last Monday (my fiancée knows his wife). They were Marxists in the 60s and have moved steadily right since then. He is a good friend of David Horowitz. He gets a good variety of left/right callers, so I wouldn't draw any conclusions from that. In addition, he allows his guests to talk and doesn't dispute every statement they make that that differs from his opinions.

Anyone who has heard Milt talk about Clinton or political correctness on college campuses knows that he's a conservative. He's talked several times with Alan Kors from U of Pa. about the threat from speech codes.
