Let's see. One minute your kissing your girl, the next someone bigger and stronger then you has an arm wrapped around your throat and a 9mm in your mouth. He's saying don't move and I won't hurt you. So your next move is...?
Maybe you can come up with something sitting at your computer, but if you're 16 in the middle of nowhere, probably not.

These kids have an absolute legal right to be wherever they happen to be. They have an absolute right not to be assaulted by some thug who should have already been under the jail.
Whether or not two underage girls have a "legal right" to be out at 0100 is open to debate. I don't know if there's a curfew for minors in the DPRK (that's Kalifornia, not Korea)or not, or if their "parents" knew where they were and what they were probably doing.
I'm also curious if the boyfriends of that night will still be the boyfriends next week...

Cower in your corner alone, but don't come on this forum claiming a gunman has never been disarmed by an unarmed man.
What would you have done on flight 93?
To: CaptainAwesome
if he had attacked the criminal then he probably would have been shot. at least im sure thats how he felt. The record, at this time, is that at least one of the "boyfriends" thought the gun to be devoid of any bullets.
To: Petronski
i seriously doubt they would feel any safer with you than with me. i am captain awesome. im sure these 16 and 17 year old boys felt their lives were in danger and were very scared. maybe if they saw in opportunity to do something they would have but no opportunity showed itself.
you are foolish to judge their actions in that situation espcecially since you have never been in a similar position.

This forum makes me sick sometimes.

Also, used the Civil Defense TV message system to issue a verbal notice of kidnapping. This is the first time I have seen it used for anything except tests.

Really? Where was it used?

if they had tried to fight the guy and got shot what would you be saying?
i am sure they did not feel they could attak him without getting shot. if im not armed then im going to try to avoid fighting a guy with a gun. you can be the guy that gets shot if you want. (i dont even believe that you would make any effort to fight anyway)
I AM CAPTAIN AWESOME!!!!

Where in my post did I say that no gunman has ever been disarmed? You are good at big talk and putting words in people's mouth.
These were two young boys singly against an armed man. Flight 93 was a number of people trying to stop 4 (or so) armed men. I would have died right along with them.
Would you have saved the day, Mighty Mouth?

Or not at all...That would definitely be the worst case scenario.
To: null and void
True, or not found at all...
Boy - I should have read this thread through before I posted on it... The arguments here are too weird to touch!
[ducks back out of the thread]

We'll never know. Petty has never had a date.

charged in October with raping a 19-year-old relative but was never apprehended.Someone tell me how in the H@LL that happens???
Because the police usually take one stab at making an arrest then they just log the name on the NCIC warrant list. They figure when the individual gets his next ticket the officer will run his name and make the arrest. They told me that the case I was concerned with (the sexual assault of a family member) was not their only case and they could not spend all their time on it. But not to worry because sooner or later they would get the guy.
To keep my story short, I did much leg work and found the guy in a town 20 miles away, called authorities and they were forced to respond. He's in jail on 12 felony counts and $1.2 million bond. Preliminary hearing was supposed to be 7/8 but his PD wants to review the tapes of his confession.

LOL!
Sorry, Petronski......but that's funny!

In 1989, he began a two-year sentence on second-degree burglary charges. He served a year before he was paroled in 1990. A year later, while on parole, Ratliff was returned to prison, this time to serve a seven-year, four-month sentence for first-degree burglary. He was paroled again in December 1994, Heimerich said. In February 1997, he was returned to prison a third time when he was sentenced to six years for possession of a controlled substance. After he was paroled in July 2001, he failed to report again to his parole agent. I think the girls let themselves down when they went to "Lover's Lane" with these loser dudes, the dudes let them down when they let them go, and all of society let them down by allowing PAROLE to be granted to convicts who have a history of violating parole.
To: Petronski
I won't wait for your apology, scumbag. The rest of your original post showed your delight that these girls got what they deserved.
