Yes, I had a brand new M1 Garand blow up in my hands. You will notice that no one else, including my daughter, pictured above, was close enough to be injured. I was wearing safety gear and was not injured that badly.
The incident occurred at a gun range with the safety on, the M1 pointed down range and after receiving training on that particular weapon. I did nothing unsafe and to imply that I did is unfair and inaccurate.
